About Batters Box
The Batter’s Box is a baseball and softball training facility catering to all talent levels of the game. We are the oldest facility in Connecticut with a skilled staff whose ability to teach is unmatched in the business.
We offer 5 batting cages, 3 pitching mounds, a soft toss area and a 7,500 sq ft fielding area all within our 11,000 square foot facility.
Over the past 30 years, we have instructed players in all phases of the game. The game of baseball played correctly is not easy. We stress MENTAL FOCUS as well as proper mechanics. We begin with the basics at all levels, demand concentration and start the development of the player’s WORK ETHIC. It's important for the player and parent to understand that swinging the bat at home or working on throwing mechanics in the mirror is as important as taking the actual lessons. We teach the meaning of conscientious work as compared to just swinging the bat. We continue to push this lesson after lesson.
The Batter's Box is also the home of the Connecticut Bombers. The Connecticut Bombers Baseball Club, which began in 1998, boasts many of the top travel teams in the Northeast for age brackets 10-18.
Our one on one lessons and clinics offer the best baseball and softball training in the state. Our pro, collegiate and high school staff provide the best training possible for hitting, pitching and catching. Our programs are geared toward both the competitive as well as the recreational player. Our training has developed thousands of players and has sent many to top colleges and universities on scholarships each year.
Many ballplayers who have trained at the Batter’s Box have gone on to play at some of the nations top colleges and universities as well as professionally.
