The Batter’s Box, Connecticut’s oldest baseball training center, since 1989, is offering 2026 youth camps. These camps are designed to develop the player with all fundamentals including throwing, pitching, hitting, fielding, and conditioning. The camps will run for 90 minutes.

THROWING
Before we begin to pitch, proper throwing mechanics are a must. We work the base first to make sure the legs are under us for the proper balance. Then the work is done on the arm swing.
PITCHING
Once the throwing basics begin to develop, we will then move on to the proper pitching mechanics. Once the player learns the fundamentals, he then can begin to understand the proper balance points, leg stride, etc. All of this is discussed in simple terms and is done easily in understandable drills.
FIELDING
We begin with the proper footwork when fielding ground balls. From there, we move to delivering the baseball with the proper footwork and arm swing. We teach the basics around each base. Even if the player plays multiple positions, they need to understand each position
HITTING
Hitting is the most difficult thing to do in sports. With our 35 years of training ballplayers, we have developed the simplest methods of teaching the art of hitting. We break down the swing into parts. First we start with the base, which consists of balance, stride and then spin. Next, we concentrate on the head and eyes, which need to follow the pitch. Finally, we work the actual swing, which is broken down into segments
